Art² was built as a pocket park where food, murals and digital art come together to reflect the city’s creative pulse. To support that vision, Crunchy Tech was brought in to deliver the digital backbone: an LED centerpiece and supporting displays designed to host motion content, city storytelling and live programming. Our role was to replace static visual elements with a dynamic platform and give Art² the tools to evolve, engage visitors and anchor downtown Orlando’s newest cultural hub.

Phase 1 AV Integration Requirements
Project Challenges

The LED wall needed custom rigging and precise alignment with client-provided structure, while the AV rack, Q-SYS DSP, amplifiers and BrightSign player all had to be wired, configured and tested as a unified system. With no room for extended downtime and multiple contractors on site, every task had to be planned to fit a tight construction schedule and a firm public launch.
Supporting a Public Creative Hub
Understanding Client Needs

The city and À La Cart needed an AV system that blended into the environment during the day but came to life when called on – capable of motion graphics, community storytelling and seasonal features. Our job was to build something they wouldn’t outgrow; a setup that could evolve with the park and not become a maintenance problem six months in.
Digital Display and Audio Integration
Technical Solutions
In order to deliver a visual and audio backbone for Art Squared, we integrated a direct-view LED system, distributed displays and a control-ready audio platform built around city-furnished hardware.
| System Category | Components | Role in Project |
| LED Display System | Direct-view LED wall, Novastar processor | Delivered large-format digital canvas for motion content and public art |
| Display Distribution | 50″ portrait TV, 86″ mirroring display, HDBaseT splitter | Extended visual content to secondary areas and upper floor viewing |
| Audio & Control | Q-SYS DSP, amplifiers, background music speakers | Managed audio zones and provided scalable control infrastructure |
| Content Playback | BrightSign player, SD card integration | Enabled simple content delivery and future programming updates |
Each system was configured to work as one networked platform. The LED wall became the visual anchor while the secondary displays mirrored key content for visibility across the park. Q-SYS handled audio routing and control and gave Art² a foundation ready for live events, ambient audio and city programming.
Coordinated Install and Commissioning
Implementation Methodology

The AV rack, BrightSign player, Q-SYS DSP and amplifiers were wired and addressed as a unified system. The CAT6 runs extended to both the first-floor and second-floor displays. Once hardware was set, we proceeded with programming: loading static and motion content, configuring the video wall controller and tuning audio levels for public use.
Every phase was timed against the opening schedule to guarantee no trades overlapped and no work had to be redone.
A Digital Anchor for Public Space
Results and Impact

Audio zones are ready for ambient music and future events, all controlled through a system the staff can manage without the need for incessant tech support. What was once a static wall is now a living part of the environment: flexible, visual and built for community use.
Ready for Opening Day
Finishing the Project On Time
With a public launch date already announced, there was no room for schedule drift. We coordinated closely with city teams, confirmed infrastructure early and staged every step to avoid last-minute scrambles. By the time programming started, the hardware was locked in and tested.
The system was fully operational ahead of opening and therefore gave the pocket park time to load content, rehearse and debut with digital art, motion content and audio in place.
