Courtroom Video Wall Case Study: United State District Court
Las Vegas, NV

165-Inch LED Wall Upgrade
Seamless AV Transformation
Crunchy Tech led a full audiovisual transformation for the United States District Court in Las Vegas, Nevada by replacing a 9-monitor LCD video wall with a sleek 165-inch LED display. The payoff was a cleaner, more impactful viewing experience that modernized the space both visually and functionally.
Upgrading Without Disruption
Project Challenges
Engineering an upgrade of this size meant walking a fine line between precision and speed. For one, the existing AV infrastructure had to becautiously dismantled. We must ensure we don’t disrupt nearby operations or inadvertently damage surrounding equipment. As such, Crunchy Tech faced the twin challenge of de-installing aging hardware and keeping control and source connections intact.
Lead time for the new LED display presented yet another logistical hurdle. With a six-week delivery window, the project necessitated tight coordination between procurement, site prep and install teams. This is to avoid downtime once the hardware arrives. Also, structural reinforcements and electrical upgrades had to be finalized ahead of the display’s arrival to keep the install window within the client’s narrow timeline.
Modern Style, Minimal Upkeep
Understanding Client Needs
The client underscored they wanted a cleaner, more contemporary look that would also cut down on long-term maintenance. The bulky LCD wall with multiple bezels just wasn’t satisfying the performance or style they needed. Hence the need for a sleeker, more unified display solution.
Working side by side with the client, Crunchy Tech zeroed in on the must-haves: full HD resolution, front-service access and seamless integration with their AMX and Biamp systems. This collaborative process paved the way for a video wall that not only showcases great visuals but also fits the client’s workflow and maintenance preferences.

Featuring a 1.875mm pixel pitch and 600-nit brightness, the 165-inch LED display brought about sharp, consistent visuals in a sleek, uninterrupted format. Powered by the Novastar VX400 processor, the system facilitated fluid video playback across all content types. To maintain control continuity, Crunchy Tech reprogrammed the existing AMX and Biamp systems using client-provided source code, achieving a seamless transition without reworking the entire control infrastructure.
Design-Build Approach
Implementation Methodology
Crunchy Tech’s hands-on design-build methodology was the cornerstone of getting this upgrade done on time and without disrupting daily operations. From day 1 our team worked closely with stakeholders to sync the new LED display’s specifications with existing infrastructure constraints. That early collaboration equipped us to plan ahead for structural reinforcements, electrical work and control system updates before we ever set foot on site.
With a six-week lead time on the display, we used that window to line up every step of site prep and installation. When the hardware arrived, the crew had everything ready to go, fulfilling the install in just three to five days. That speed came from the upfront coordination and clear communication between the design, engineering and deployment teams. Every stage ran smoothly and downtime was kept to an absolute minimum, from removing the old video wall to the final commissioning.
165” LED Wall and Streamlined Control
Results and Impact
The upgraded AV system now commands attention with a 165-inch LED wall, its edge-to-edge display free from the visual interruption of bezels. Colors leap from the screen, brightness cuts through ambient light and the expanded format reshapes how the room feels. The front-service design lets technicians slip in to make adjustments without halting the daily rhythm of the space.
The reconfigured AMX and Biamp systems knit every piece of equipment into a single, intuitive control hub. Staff can orchestrate complex AV setups with a few deliberate taps, confident in the system’s stability. It arrives with a five-year warranty and a year of remote support under a 24-hour response promise, built not just to work today, but to stand its ground for years ahead.
Done Fast, Done Right
Finishing the Project On Time
This installation shows how Crunchy Tech thrives under pressure. Rigid deadlines became a proving ground, not a hindrance, as meticulous planning and tight-knit collaboration transformed an aging video wall into a focal point worth gathering around.
No stage was treated as routine, from dismantling and responsibly hauling away outdated gear to coaxing peak performance from the new control systems. The finished space makes a quiet but undeniable point: when the job demands precision, adaptability and staying power, Crunchy Tech delivers.
