Centered on the QSC Core 110f digital signal processor, the new theme park-wide system delivers clear, reliable, flexible sound for announcements, background music, and event audio.

Modernizing a Legacy System

Revamping the audio for an active water park meant working within the limits of the existing infrastructure and avoiding downtime during peak season. The project called for tying new digital audio into the park's low-voltage and networking systems, some of which were decades old.

Weather resistance was just as critical. The new system had to hold up in Arizona's intense summer heat and survive monsoon rains and high winds, which meant rugged, weatherproof components that could perform year-round without giving up sound quality.

The system pairs high-performance audio components with careful integration. QSC's DSP delivers precise, zone-by-zone control, and the climate-proof speakers keep sound quality consistent across the park. The approach pushed the technology forward while keeping costs in check.

Park-Wide Clarity and Control

The new system has changed how Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Phoenix communicates. It runs 53 weatherproof surface-mount speakers and 7 column-style outdoor speakers, with two 4-channel 500W amplifiers feeding the Paradise rack, for clear, consistent sound in every corner of the park.

Staff manage announcements across the whole property or in specific zones using tabletop controllers and wall-mounted touchscreens. Pre-recorded messages play on a schedule or on demand, keeping communication timely and automated for daily operations and special events.

Upgraded components and clean integration have improved the guest experience. The park runs more efficiently and feels more engaging from entry to exit.
