Lion’s Pride Pub Full Restaurant Distributed AV

Challenge:

The Orlando based restaurant and bar needed to create a guest experience that was top of the line for the new Orlando City Soccer Club and the new stadium that came with the exciting new team.

The proposed space was an original downtown Church St. building which did not allow for much modification per the city rules.

The client needed a robust system that would allow for various activities to work in conjunction with their daily sports bar atmosphere.

The restaurant operator needed to be a top sports bar with perfect high-quality sound and tons of big screen TVs to become a fan favorite destination for all things soccer and Orlando City.

Solutions:

Today the venue boasts over 45 high-definition displays including a 4×4 video wall to make it impossible to miss any game. The venue also gained a multiple zone pitch-perfect audio system with a PA system for live shows and events.

The operator could choose to display one sports event over all 16 monitors, 4 different events utilizing 4 monitors each or even 16 different games.

Remote laptop input plates were added to the private dining rooms to allow private meetings with audio video content to be utilized in the rooms only while having no effect on the common areas.

The Crestron control system we installed also provided an extremely user-friendly interface to help every guest get to see the game they wanted on the display they wanted without the need of a specific person or manager to operate. The system was also installed to keep longevity in mind and to be expanded if needed.

System:

Equipment used in the installation included:

AV over IP distribution system by Just Add Power was used to bypass the typical chassis style video switching where the client needs to purchase more I/O’s then needed.

4×4 LCD video wall on the main wall supplemented with 4 large format commercial grade monitors, and the operator could choose to display one sports event over all 16 monitors, 4 different events utilizing 4 monitors each or even 16 different games.

The heart of the system was a Peavey Media matrix digital signal processor in which additional Cab16o expanders were utilized via the Cobra net protocol.

A set of ElectroVoice amplifiers drives a broad selection of loudspeakers and subwoofers. We were able to achieve the subtle desired background music for everyday use but with the ability to really drive the decibels up when the house was packed with screaming fans.

The Impact:

The video system allowed for direct video signal transmission so that every single monitor could display its intended video source without others around it playing the same content making it great for the sports bar owners and making it great for the new concept to display dynamic content in whatever way they want to.

The new owners have been using the system exactly how it was installed, and it has been an invaluable asset to them since they put on a lot of shows and performances in the venue.

“The ability to separate zones was absolutely key for our multiple floor venue, and all the inputs in the aquired system made everything super easy to use. We were ecstatic to acquire the Crunchy Tech system.”
