Bad sound can cost you customers. We often walk into a restaurant to find that the ceiling speakers are not mounted correctly, and the music sounds more like it is coming from the parking lot than from inside. We often walk into a retail store to find that the background music is not playing throughout the entire store. It is frustrating to deal with problems left behind by other companies that installed systems years ago.
Even if you are not in business yet, Our Design-Build system is created to save you money and maximize your customers experience that leads into more profit opportunities.
At Crunchy Tech we partner with your business to bring your venue to life, We focus on an outcome driven sound system that will deliver the experience your guest deserve.
At Crunchy Tech we design and install professional audio systems for a wide variety of commercial locations, including offices, restaurants, hotels, schools, hospitals, retail stores, community centers, and more.
We can manage a project from start to finish, including site survey, acoustic design, equipment selection, installation, and system commissioning, so that the system is ready for use from day one.
Are you building a new facility? Are you renovating an existing space? Do you need to upgrade an existing system? Perhaps you have never had a proper audio system installed in your facility and would like to change that. We can assist you with all of your commercial audio needs.
What Goes Into a Commercial Sound System
A commercial audio system is not like a home audio system.
It is a commercial system and is expected to operate 24/7, with components rated to handle the impedance loads of the professional loudspeaker arrays it will be driving. Additionally, controls will be operated by non-technical staff, so they need to be as simple to use as possible.
A typical system will consist of: amplifiers sized to the area or zone; commercial ceiling-mount or surface-mount speakers suited to the architecture and acoustics of the space; a combination of audio source components such as network music players, music licensing services, and traditional radio; one or more digital signal processors to provide volume and EQ control for each zone as well as the main room; low-voltage signal transmission wiring; and user interfaces ranging from simple wall panel controls to full-featured tablet controls. We use products from manufacturers such as Bose Professional, QSC, Crown, and Yamaha Pro Audio, depending on the needs of the project.
How We Approach Commercial Sound System Installation
Audio system design is more than a nicety; it is a requirement. Very few people plan an audio system before they start. Often operators or AV integration companies pick the same speakers they have used before, run some cable, hang the speakers, and call it done. Only to be told later that the corners are not getting enough sound, the levels near the speakers are too loud, and the levels at the back of the room are too soft. The sound is also echoing off the tile floor.
All of these problems are inexpensive to fix during the design phase and very expensive to fix after the fact.
All sound system installations start with a design.
What is the outcome your looking to achieve in your new venue?
At Crunchy Tech we employ what is called the Design-Build methodology. This greatly impacts your cost and potential of higher revenue due to its nature of parallel work while adapting to your construction timeline or even beyond that, Installations that don’t disrupt your day to day operations.
Design Phase
After our outcome driven discussion we create a design that brings your venue to life. We do not scope out your project based on partnership and brand commitments, Its based on your outcome, goal and allegiance to your project for maximum experience and ROI.
Build Phase
Our Installation process is simple. We work with your team, your architects and your contractors to deliver on-time audiovisual installations that are installed right the first time. We don’t cut corners and we advise you on every phase of the installation.
Multi-locations and Franchises
For multi-location venues our standardization process allows for every location to adapt to a working AV model allowing for faster troubleshooting, and even remote operations from owners or admin employees. We work nationwide allowing for your expansion to have a dedicated team in Crunchy Tech
Training & Support
After Install we offer training and support. Our team can get your staff up and running in just a few hours due to the ease of use via our AV controls systems and programming. We also offer support to make sure all of your investments are working as intended.
Industries We Work In
Each space has its own acoustic requirements. A 13,000-square-foot sports bar will have different acoustic requirements than a hospital lobby or a downtown park. We have worked in almost every commercial sector.
Restaurant & Sports bars
Every restaurant or sports bar is a high-volume, multi-zone audio and video environment with music and game audio that are constantly changing and syncing with the TV broadcasts. Our most recent project in this category has become our largest AV installation to date. Tom’s Watch Bar on International Drive is a two-story, 13,000-square-foot indoor and outdoor sports bar. The venue features 124 endpoints and over 5.6 miles of cabling installed on an active construction site in three months. The system serves the rooftop bar on the second floor, multiple indoor viewing areas on the first floor, and private sports suites throughout.
Outdoor venues
Outdoor audio is a completely different challenge. The way sound travels in an outdoor space is entirely different from an indoor space. Coverage areas change, and the system always needs to be protected from the elements. With indoor systems, design often demands that unsightly speakers be concealed; with outdoor systems, it is often a matter of keeping them as invisible as possible. Art Squared is a City of Orlando parklet — a small public park on an unused plot of land — and we installed an audio and lighting system for ambient background music, programmed lighting, and live events. At Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Phoenix in Arizona, we replaced the existing outdoor sound system with a new QSC Core 110f DSP-based system covering 35 acres. The system was built to withstand extreme heat, monsoon rains, and high winds.
Entertainment venues and nightclubs
Nightclubs need high-SPL systems built for dance floors. Theaters need precise coverage and controlled dispersion. Venues that change formats between both need systems that can handle either. See our entertainment venue AV services for examples.
Retail
Full coverage across an entire sales floor, including corners and fitting rooms where coverage tends to break down. See our commercial AV service for retail.
Corporate and conference
Applications include lobby background music, office paging, and conference room AV audio.
Government and institutional
Public address systems and mass notification for public buildings. We have worked on many capital improvement projects at Pease Air National Guard Base in Newington, New Hampshire.
Commercial PA System Design & Installation
Public Address Systems for commercial use for many applications
A Public Address (PA) system is used for communicating with an entire facility — for emergency messages, paging, music distribution, and event sound. We can design and install commercial PA systems for schools, hospitals, factories, office campuses, and more. Modern PA systems are IP-networked and connected to fire alarms and can be controlled from a smartphone. If you have an old intercom system and are still using outdated keypads and push-to-talk handsets, it is time for an upgrade.
At Crunchy Tech, we fully grasp the significance of clear and reliable communication in a wide array of industries and settings. We provide comprehensive consultation and installation services for commercial PA systems, specifically tailored to cater to the distinct requirements of various environments.
Whether it’s military, government, sports. educational institutions or entertainment venues, our bespoke PA system solutions guarantee that your message is delivered with utmost clarity and volume.
Unleash the Power of Sound in Open Air Environments
Outdoor commercial audio is specialized enough that we consider it a separate category of work. We have done extensive work designing and installing systems for restaurant patios, dog parks, pool decks, theme parks, and outdoor urban park venues.
Our work on the 35-acre Six Flags Hurricane Harbor water park outdoor system — open year-round, 365 days a year — is a good example of this. Outdoor system design, flexibility, and performance are often just as important as coverage, as demonstrated by our design and installation of the Art Squared outdoor art exhibit in downtown Orlando.
For over three decades, Pickles Pub has stood as the essential heartbeat of Baltimore’s sports culture. Perfectly positioned between Camden Yards and M&T Bank Stadium, this iconic destination occupies a beautifully renovated, award-winning building that serves as a second home for Orioles and Ravens fans. The space is designed for versatility, offering everything from high-energy main bar areas to intimate private suites and a lively outdoor patio.
Dougie’s Dog Bar is a hooman-friendly dog bar and social club in Orlando’s vibrant Packing District, featuring dedicated play areas, a doggie splash zone, and a full-service bar. The venue combines indoor and outdoor spaces to create a one-of-a-kind social experience where pets and their people can gather for live sports and entertainment.
Art² is an urban pocket park in downtown Orlando featuring food vendors, craft beverages, outdoor seating, and murals celebrating local art. Operated by À La Cart and funded by the city’s Community Redevelopment Agency, it unites creativity, community, and cuisine while advancing the DTO Action plan and the vision of being “An Awesome Outdoor City.”
