AV for Hotels

Guest experience, built into everyzone

Lobby, restaurant, bar, meeting spaces, ballroom, and pool deck. We design the permanent hotel and resort AV that keeps every space running, and makes it easy for your staff to run.

Hospitality Industry

One hotel, a dozen AVzonesrunningatonce

A hotel is never just one area. The lobby, restaurant, bar, meeting spaces, ballroom and pool deck all run at once, serving different guests on different schedules. Most properties have AV in all of them. Few have AV that works together.

That is the real problem with hotel and resort AV: not the equipment, but the lack of a plan for how the whole property runs. We design permanent AV across your guest-facing spaces as one system, with zone-managed background audio, digital signage that updates itself and a single control layer your staff can effortlessly manage.

Hospitality Loyalty

“What keeps guests coming back?”

SAY EXPERIENCE DRIVES LOYALTY

73% of consumers say a positive experience is a key driver of their brand loyalty — ahead of price or product alone. In a venue, that experience is the environment: what guests see, hear, and feel in the room.

Two ways we engage

Two paths to a property that runsright

A new build or full renovation, or an upgrade of the property you already operate, done without shutting down accommodations.

PATH 01 New build or renovation

AV designed into the drawings

If you are building or fully renovating, AV belongs in the plans, not bolted on after. We design it alongside your architect and GC so the infrastructure is right the first time.

Show 3 commitments
  • Designed with your architect and GC Display placement, audio zoning, conduit, power, and control routed into the construction drawings before walls go up.
  • One control layer from day one Every zone planned to run from a single interface, so the property is coordinated instead of stitched together.
  • Right the first time Designing correctly up front costs far less than reworking AV around live guests later.
PATH 02 Upgrade or retrofit

Fix the property withoutdisruptingoccupancy

If you are working with the building you have, we phase the work around your calendar so no revenue day goes dark.

Show 4 commitments
  • Keep what works We audit your existing gear first. Nothing performing gets ripped out for the sake of it.
  • Phased around your calendar Off-hours and low-occupancy work so the lobby, restaurant, and meeting spaces stay open and earning.
  • Unified control Legacy and new equipment under one interface. Presets replace the pile of remotes behind the desk.
  • Staff trained in minutes Simple operation, no technology degree needed. Anyone on shift can run the space on night one.

Not sure which path fits? A 20-minute conversation is usually enough to know.

When three clear tiers are on the table, most buyers pick the middle one. That is usually because Better is where the math actually lands.

Let's Talk

Design and scope

How We Design HotelandResortAV

Every property runs differently, so we design around how yours actually operates, not off a product list.

We design around the property

Before we spec anything, we walk the property and learn how it runs across a full week. Where guests arrive, where they linger, where the noise problems are, how the ballroom flips from a keynote to a wedding, etc. Then we design the AV around that. As a hotel AV company that builds rather than resells, we hand you a real plan: what goes where, how it is controlled, and what it costs, with clear options at each level.

What we install, and what we don't

We build permanent AV in your guest-facing spaces. These are systems that stay in the building and run every day for seven to ten years. We do not do in-room entertainment, event production or AV rentals. If you need a one-night stage setup with a sound engineer, that is a different company. If you need the infrastructure that makes every space work for a decade, that is us.

Lobby and arrival

Hotel and Resort LobbyAV

The lobby sets a guest's first read on the property before anyone says hello.

Create an immersive welcome

A guest walks in tired from travel and forms an opinion in the first thirty seconds. A lobby video wall or display that shows something real (not a frozen logo). Background audio at the right level, so it sets a tone without fighting conversation at the desk. Signage that answers the question before they ask it: where is check-in, where is the restaurant, when is the pool event. We design lobby AV to do those three jobs at once, from one control layer, without staff touching it between modes.

Lobbies run long hours, so we spec commercial-grade displays built for it. Consumer TVs are not rated for all-day duty and burn out early in a hotel. Commercial panels are built to run open to close for years, which is why the cheaper screen is almost always the more expensive decision.

Guest communication

Hotel and Resort DigitalSignage

Signage earns its place by doing real work all day, not looping a logo.

digital signage for hotels
InstallInformed Guests + Ads = ProfitHotels & Resorts

Informed guests that adds to your bottom line

Good hotel digital signage does a handful of jobs well. It routes guests to the right ballroom so they are not stopping at the desk. It updates event schedules on its own. It shifts restaurant and bar promotions by daypart, breakfast at seven, lunch at noon, happy hour at four. It carries loyalty and brand messaging at check-in, and it can push emergency information the moment it matters.

Your team runs all of it from one cloud dashboard, from a phone, not a USB stick plugged in behind the screen. That is the line between signage that pays for itself and a screen guests stop noticing on day two.

Sound and background audio

Hotel SoundSystems That Stay in Their Zone

Six audio environments run in one building. The job is keeping each one where it belongs.

A zone for every space

The lobby needs a calm, premium tone. The restaurant needs its own level so tables can talk. The bar can lift at night. The pool deck runs its own program. We design hotel and resort sound with independent zones, each with its own source, volume, and schedule. The whole property shifts from morning to evening on a calendar, and no one rides a fader to make it happen. That "set it and it runs" quality is what most properties are missing.

Keeping sound out of the guest areas

The hard part is bleed. Sound travels through open corridors, shared ceilings, and the building structure, and pool music at night turns into a fourth-floor wake-up call. We handle that in design, before the walls go up, with zone isolation and directional coverage that keeps sound on target. Solve it early and you never field the complaint.

Meetings and events

Meeting Space and BallroomAV

Two different jobs in the same building: spaces that repeat, and spaces that reconfigure.

Meeting and training areas that all work the same

A guest should be able to walk into any function space on any floor, and start in under a minute. We standardize the areas for every one to have the same interface and the one-button start, whether the guest arrives on Teams or Google Meet. Your staff learns one system and your IT team manages one platform. Above all, the guest never loses the first fifteen minutes fighting the AV.

Ballrooms and event spaces that reconfigure

A ballroom is a different problem. It hosts a 500-person keynote at lunch and a wedding at night. As such, the space has to change without rewiring or a service call. We design ballroom and event AV around that very flexibility: a preset for each mode and audio that covers a full space for a keynote and a reception, as well as control that's simple enough for a banquet manager to run. One space, numerous events, no technician on standby necessary.

Outdoor and pool deck

Pool Deck and OutdoorResortAV

Outdoor spaces earn real revenue, and outdoor AV is its own engineering problem.

Sun washes out displays that are not bright enough and rain kills speakers that are not rated for it. With these things in mind, we design permanent outdoor resort AV with the right ratings for the environment: weather-sealed speakers, high-brightness outdoor displays and enclosures built for pool chemicals and wash-downs.

The audio is zoned and aimed for pool music to stay at the pool and not in the areas above. Done right, a pool deck goes from a couple of portable speakers to a programmed space that carries its own audio, signage and schedule.

What does a hotel AV company do?

A hotel AV company designs, installs and supports the permanent audio and video systems across a property: lobby displays and video walls, background and zone audio, digital signage, meeting and ballroom AV, and the control layer that runs it all. We are a design-build integrator - we walk the property, design the system around how it operates in real life, install and calibrate it, train your staff and support it through its life. We focus on hotels and resorts specifically, which means the design accounts for how a real property runs across a full week.

What is included in a hotel AV installation?

It depends on the property, but a typical hotel and resort AV systems installation covers the lobby (displays or video wall, background audio, wayfinding signage), the restaurant and bar (zone audio and displays), meeting and training areas (standardized, platform-agnostic systems), the ballroom or event space (flexible presets and full-room audio), the pool deck and outdoor areas (weather-rated audio and displays), and the digital signage and control platform that ties it together. We build permanent systems only. In-room entertainment, event production and rentals are out of our scope.

How much does a hotel or resort AV system cost?

Cost tracks the property size, the number of zones and the technology scope. Standardizing ten meeting areas is a different conversation than a full lobby-to-pool-deck build. At Crunchy Tech we present Good, Better, and Best options where you can see what each tier delivers and price each zone on its own. Every tier is a genuine recommendation based on your AV needs, so the budget goes where the property earns it back.

Can the AV install happen while the hotel stays open?

Yes. On an occupied property we phase the work around your calendar, using off-hours and low-occupancy windows. This way, the lobby or restaurant stay open and earning. On a new build or major renovation, we start during construction so the AV infrastructure goes in with the walls. Either way, we plan the sequence so guest experience is never the thing that pays for the upgrade.

Can hotel AV systems be upgraded in phases?

Yes, and it is often the smart way to do it. We can start with the zone that hurts most and build out from there on a plan that keeps everything on one control layer as it grows. You are not locked into doing the whole property at once, and you are not left with a patchwork of systems that do not talk to each other.

What should a hotel look for in an AV company?

Look for a design-build integrator that installs and stands behind the system rather than selling you a box of parts. Ask whether they design around how the property runs or off a product list. Ask how they keep pool-deck audio out of the guest spaces, how they standardize meeting areas across floors and how a manager runs the whole property from one interface. Ask for hospitality references and credentials.

What we build

Services we deploy in hotelsandresorts

A hotel AV system pulls several practices together: distribution, sound, signage, video walls, and the control layer that runs all of it.

What clients say

What hospitality operators say

The same engineered system that runs a sports bar on game day runs a hotel lobby, restaurant, and ballroom, with the programming set to the property.

Just do it. Spend the money. It’s well worth it. It’s not worth your time, hassle, energy, and stress of trying to make it look right and do it right when there’s somebody who has been doing it for years and has perfected the craft.
